Surgery
My clinic organises and plans simple to complicated foot surgery. I'm often asked to review surgery cases. Occasionally I may be asked for a second opinion with regards treatment options for failed surgery. Sometimes I may be asked to organise revision surgery for a patient. I specialise in trauma biomechanics an area of Biomechanics dedicated to restoration of normative biomechanics after severe injury, trauma or disease. This is the area of biomechanics which is most commonly employed after failed surgery.

Accesory Bones
There over 10 different known accessory bones in the human foot and most people have no idea that they may have one unless they either become symptomatic or have an X-ray. These X-Rays show cases of symptomatic accessory bones. Management is usually surgical excision or orthotics.

Fractures
I see fractures every year and its not that uncommon for a fracture to be missed roughly 95% of the fractures I diagnose usually need a second set of X-Rays unless the fracture is easily spotted and quite severe. Treatment varies from case to case and can include surgical repair, complete or partial imobilisation, pre and post fracture orthotics and in extreme cases rehabilitaion.

Sesamoid Pathology & Anatomical Variants
Osseus Pathology. These X-rays are just the tip of a very large iceberg. Literally hundreds of disease processes can have an impact on the presentation of bone under X-Ray examination.
Biomechanical Complaints & Anatomical Variations
These X-Rays show some of the more esoteric problems that I'm asked to treat.
